Securing B+ wire

Caution

If the B+ wire is not secured to the specified torque setting, the following may occur:

t	The battery will not be charged fully.

t	Vehicle electrics or electronics fail completely (breakdown).

t	Danger of fires from sparks.

t	Damage to electronic components and control units due to excessive voltage.

Note

The threaded connection for the B+ wire is designated B1+ on the alternator.

–	The specified torque for the securing nut of the B1+ wire -arrow- can be found in the “Specified torques” table → Chapter.
