  DANGER!
The bolts -3- function as plugs and seal the passenger compartment against exhaust fumes, and must without exception be installed.
  Note
t  Minor differences will be encountered on removal and installing, depending on version.
t  The specified torques refer only to factory-installed towing brackets.
t  Request torque specifications for other towing brackets from the manufacturers.
   
1 - Towing bracket
q   Towing bracket with removable ball head is shown in illustration
2 - Ball hitch
q   The removable ball head is located in the left side compartment of the luggage compartment
3 - Bolt
q   Plugs
q   Qty. 4
q   20 Nm
4 - Bolt
q   Qty. 4
q   50 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Bolts must always be replaced by new ones after being undone
5 - Cover
q   Material PP/EPDM
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
6 - Spring clip
q   Qty. 2
7 - Cap - towing bracket
8 - Rotary fastener
q   Qty. 2
9 - Retaining disc
