Installing > < Removing and installing right trim panel on driver side
Removing
Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove dash panel end trim on driver side → Chapter.
–  Remove left trim on driver side → Chapter.
Golf 2004 ►
–  Remove centre cover (Golf 2004 ►) → Chapter
Golf 2009 ►
–  Remove dash panel middle trim (Golf 2009 ►) → Chapter
–  Remove air conditioner controls unit / heater controls unit trim (Golf 2009 ►) → Chapter
–  Remove centre cover (Golf 2009 ►) → Chapter
Vehicles with automatic gearbox
–  Detach gearstick boot from cover → Rep. gr.37.
Vehicles with manual or dual clutch gearbox
–  Detach gearstick boot from cover → Rep. gr.34.
–  Remove stowage compartment or ashtray (Golf 2009 ►) → Chapter
–  Remove centre console cover (no need to dismantle centre console completely):
t  Basic version → Chapter
t  Highline version → Chapter
   
All vehicles
–  Remove bolts -1-, -2-, -3- and -4- (1.5 Nm).
–  Using removal wedge -3409-, release trim from mountings.
