Installing > < Removing and installing rear side airbag (4-door)

  WARNING
Observe the general safety regulations when working on airbag, belt tensioner and battery isolator units (pyrotechnic components) → Chapter
–  Disconnect vehicle battery → Rep. gr.27.
–  Remove bench seat → Chapter.
   
–  Remove side padding with side airbag -1- (4-door ) → Chapter.
–  Remove the two bolts -2- (9 Nm).
  Note
t  The bolts are microencapsulated and must be renewed each time they are loosened.
t  Before new bolts are installed, the threads of the corresponding holes must be cleaned.
–  Disconnect rear side airbag connector coupling -3- from mounting in side padding -1-.
–  Remove rear side airbag -3- from side padding.
