Note| t | As of vehicle identification number 2615638 (calendar week 25/2006), the backrest cover is secured to the backrest with additional clips (N.107.297.01). |
| t | Carefully remove the clips from the continuous channel using a suitable tool. |
| t | Ensure clips are installed in original positions when installing clips. |
| – | Press left trim -1- down along upper edge. |
| – | Then pull trim out of mountings in area of the two fasteners -arrows-. |
| – | Remove right trim -2- (sequence is analogue). |
| – | In side area of backrest, release continuous profile -3- of seat cover from continuous channel -4-. |
| – | Along bottom of backrest, pull profile section -5- out of mounting. |
| – | Detach all Velcro tape -1- on cover from recesses in padding -2- |
| – | Release padding from backrest frame. |
