On some gearboxes, gearbox code is also located on the top of the gearbox near the selector lever cable -arrows-.
The gearbox code is also included on the vehicle data stickers.
If there is no vehicle data sticker, if the installed gearbox does not match the one indicated on the sticker or if the installed gearbox cannot be definitively identified: read gearbox code off gearbox → Chapter.
