Installing clutch cover (end cover)
–  Always renew cover and circlip.
–  Never install new covers with a hammer.
   
–  Never oil the centre seal or touch it with a hand.
  Caution
Do not touch the centre seal of new covers. The centre hole of the cover must not be touched, oiled or brought into contact with other materials. Leaks will result.

–  Handle cover only as shown in this picture.
Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Assembly sleeve -T10302-
  Note
New cover must be free of oil and dry around centre seal!
–  If necessary, clean end of clutch shaft.
–  Remove any stickers from inside of cover.
Moisten only the outer edge of the seal with DSG -G 052 182- oil.
–  Set sleeve on a flat surface.
–  Preform centre seal of new cover.

–  Guide cover horizontally and evenly over entire sleeve, which will bring sealing lip into installation position.
–  Remove sleeve upwards out of cover and set sleeve on end of clutch shaft.

–  Guide cover horizontally over sleeve and press evenly onto its seat.
  Caution
Avoid striking the cover, because this can lead to leaks.

–  Lever cover carefully into its seat with a screwdriver in order to install new retaining ring.
–  Install new retaining ring.
