Renewing seal on bevel box between gearbox and bevel box
Renewing seal on bevel box between gearbox and bevel box
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Puller hooks -T20143-
  W00-2958
t  Thrust piece -T10298-
Procedure
–  Remove bevel box:
   Golf 2004 ► and Passat 2006 ► with V6 engine → Chapter
   Golf 2009 ► with 2.0 l engine → Chapter
  W00-10307
–  Lever out seal on bevel box using puller hook -T20143/1- or puller hook -T20143/2-.
  N39-10186
–  Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip -arrow- with sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-.
–  Lightly oil outer circumference of oil seal.
  N32-0001
–  Drive in oil seal to stop using thrust piece -T10298-.
–  Install bevel box:
   Golf 2004 ► and Passat 2006 ► with V6 engine → Chapter
   Golf 2009 ► with 2.0 l engine → Chapter
