Renewing Polygon Needle Bearing & Seal on Right Flange Shaft - Installation

Installing
–  Moisten seal -A- with gear oil.
–  Insert seal -A- in groove -arrow- in flange shaft.
Ensure that seal is not twisted.
–  Set up clamp -T10047- ⇒ figure N39-0784 on page → Anchor.

–  To avoid damage to running surface of bearing on shaft, turn shaft during pressing procedure -arrow-.
–  Secure needle bearing with a new retaining ring.
–  Carefully drive in flange shaft while turning it.
–  Secure flange shaft using countersunk bolt and tighten to specified torque → Item.
–  Install right drive shaft → Running gear - front and four wheel drive; Rep. Gr.40
–  If the support for the particle filter was removed from a vehicle having a particle filter, it must be installed now → Rep. Gr.26.
–  Attach drive shaft shield to bevel box → Running gear, axles, steering; Rep. Gr.40.
–  Check oil level in bevel box → Chapter.
–  Install noise insulation, if fitted.
