Installing
Installing
–  Lightly oil outer circumference of new oil seal.
   
–  Drive in new seal to stop, being careful not to cant seal.
  N39-0764
–  Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip -arrow- with sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-.
–  Carefully drive in right flange shaft while turning it.
–  Secure flange shaft using countersunk bolt and tighten to specified torque → Chapter.
Carry out further installation in the reverse sequence noting the following points:
–  Install right drive shaft → Running gear, axles, steering; Rep. Gr.40.
  N32-0001
–  If present, attach shield for right drive shaft to bevel box -arrows-.
–  Check oil level in bevel box → Chapter.
–  Install front parts of front right wheel housing liner → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.66.
–  Install noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Install wheel → Running gear, axles, steering; Repair group 44; Wheel bolt torque settings.
