t  Lubricate bearing positions and sliding surfaces.
t  Allocate grease using → Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA).

1 - Selector unit
q   Consists of selector shaft and selector shaft cover
q   Components cannot be separated from each other
2 - Reversing light switch -F4-
q   Tighten to 20 Nm
q   Lightly coat lug with MoS2 grease
3 - Retaining pin
q   For adjusting selector mechanism
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Pressing in → Fig.
4 - Relay lever
q   Installation position → Fig.
q   From 05.07, plastic relay lever → Chapter
5 - Bearing bush
q   Not required for plastic relay lever
6 - Seal
q   Lever out with a screwdriver
q   Installing → Fig.
7 - Hexagon nut
q   Removing and installing → Item
8 - Gearbox selector lever
q   Installing → Item
9 - Cap
q   For gearbox breather
10 - Securing clip
q   Not required for plastic relay lever
11 - Cover plate
12 - Spring
q   Not fitted in all gearboxes.

   
Removing retaining pin -A- from selector shaft cover
–  Remove outer part of retaining pin.
–  Then carefully lever out retaining pin using a screwdriver.

Pressing retaining pin -A- into selector shaft cover
Installation position:
Marking -arrow- points to upper part of selector shaft.

Inserting oil seal to stop
