Removing Haldex coupling
   
–  Disconnect exhaust system at clamp -arrows- and remove rear part of exhaust system → Rep. gr.26.
  Note
The flexible joint of the exhaust system must not be bent more than 10° – danger of damage.
–  Removing rear flexible coupling:
t  Golf 2004 ► → Chapter
t  Passat 2006 ► → Chapter

–  Separate connector -2- on all-wheel drive control unit -J492-.
  N39-10090
–  Place drip tray for workshop hoist -VAS 6208- under rear final drive.
–  Remove drain plug -A- and drain high-performance oil for Haldex coupling completely.
–  Install drain plug -A- with new seal and tighten to 30 Nm.

–  Remove securing bolts -arrows- and pull Haldex coupling out of rear final drive.

–  Remove old O-ring -arrow- from Haldex coupling.
