Installing > < Removing and installing anti-theft engine control unit

Removing
Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove plenum chamber bulkhead → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.50.
   
–  Cut into heads of shear bolts so that two parallel surfaces are created -arrows-.
–  Remove bolts with pliers.

–  Insert a screwdriver -A- between protective cover and bracket for engine control unit -arrow-.

–  Lever up protective cover using screwdriver -A- and pull to side off bracket for engine control unit -arrow-.

–  Lever up catch slightly -1-.
–  Then push engine control unit in direction of arrow off bracket for engine control unit.
–  Now release connector on engine control unit and pull off connector.
