Removing and installing accelerator module
Removing and installing accelerator module
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Release tool -T 10238- (for right-hand drive vehicles -T10240-).
   
t  Torque wrench (5...50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-
Removing
  W00-0427
–  Loosen plastic nuts -arrows- and remove steering column cover in footwell.
–  Lever off cap → Item using a screwdriver.
–  Remove securing bolt beneath it.

–  To remove accelerator module, push release tool -T 10238- (for right-hand drive vehicles -T10240-) into opening provided to stop.
–  Pull connector off accelerator module.
–  Pull wiring guide off accelerator pedal module.
–  Pull out accelerator module.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:
–  Attach connector -2- and wiring guide -1- to accelerator pedal module.
–  Press accelerator pedal module onto securing pins -6-.
–  Insert centring pin -7- into hole in floor of vehicle.
–  Secure accelerator pedal -5- with securing bolt -3-. Torque setting: 9 Nm.
–  Attach cap -4-.
–  Install steering column cover.
