1 - Connector
q   Black, 4-pin.
q   Open with assembly tool -T10118-
2 - Ignition coil 3 with output stage -N291-
q   Ignition coil 1 with output stage -N70-
q   Ignition coil 2 with output stage -N127-
q   Ignition coil 4 with output stage -N292-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
3 - Connector
q   Black, 2-pin.
q   For knock sensor 1 -G61-.
q   Connector contacts are gold-plated.
4 - Knock sensor 1 -G61-
q   Connector contacts are gold-plated.
5 - 20 Nm
q   The specified torque influences the function of the knock sensor.
6 - Connector
q   Black, 3-pin.
q   For Hall sender -G40-.
7 - Hall sender -G40-
8 - O-ring
q   Renew if damaged.
9 - 10 Nm
10 - Spark plug, 25 Nm
  Note
t  When fitting new spark plugs, the ignition coil must be regreased using lubricating paste -G 052 141 A2- This will stop the ignition coil sealing hose from »sticking« to the spark plug. The lubricating paste must be distributed on the spark plug when inserting on the ignition coil.
t  New ignition coils with output stage are lubricated when delivered.
q   Remove and install with spark plug socket and extension -3122 B-.
q   Type and electrode gap → Chapter.
11 - Cable guide
q   Bolt to camshaft housing with 5 Nm torque.
12 - Earth wire
q   Loosen or tighten only with ignition switched off.
13 - 10 Nm
q   Loosen or tighten only with ignition switched off.
