t  Hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213-
Test prerequisites
Perform visual check if all vacuum hoses on intake manifold are not damaged and connected properly.
Test procedure
  W00-10259
–  Pull vacuum hose -arrow- between intake manifold flap valve -N316- and intake manifold off intake manifold.
  N24-10141
–  Connect hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- to intake manifold.
–  Screw in knurled screw on hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213-.
–  Operate hand vacuum pump until a vacuum of 0.3 bar is attained on pressure gauge.
  Note
Due to the high volume in the vacuum reservoir, up to 20 strokes may be necessary to generate a vacuum of 0.3 bar.
–  Observe pressure approx. 3-5 minutes.
If pressure of 0.3 bar is displayed:
The vacuum reservoir in intake manifold is OK.
If pressure drops:
–  Renew intake manifold.
