Turbocharger

Note

t	Secure all hose connections with hose clips which conform to production standard.

t	Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be free of oil and grease before assembly. The oil seals and sealing surfaces must be oiled lightly for connector couplings → Chapter.

t	Charge air system must be free of leaks.

t	Renew self-locking nuts.

t	Spring-type clip pliers -VAS 5024A- or hose clip pliers -VAS 6340- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips.

t	Fill turbocharger with engine oil at oil supply line connection.

t	After installing turbocharger, run engine for about 1 minute at idle and do not rev up immediately. This ensures that the turbocharger is fully primed with oil.
