  WARNING
Steam may escape when expansion tank is opened. Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and scalding. Cover cap with cloth and open carefully,
  Note
t  When the engine is warm, the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary, release pressure before beginning repair work.
t  Secure all hose connections with hose clamps comparable to production standard.
t  Hose clip pliers -V.A.G 1921- or hose clip pliers -VAS 6362- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips.
t  Renew gaskets and seals.
t  The arrows on the coolant pipes and on the ends of the hoses must be aligned with each other.
