Which bearing thickness is to be used at which position is marked by letters on the lower sealing surface of the cylinder block.
   
Arrow points in direction of travel.
Upper bearing shells of the proper thickness are allocated to the cylinder block in the factory. Coloured spots serve to identify the thickness of the bearing shells.

G=Yellow
B=Blue
W=White

  Note
t  If the coloured marks are no longer legible, use blue bearing shell.
t  Lower crankshaft bearing shells with “yellow” coloured marks are always supplied as spare parts.
