Removing and installing injectors
Removing and installing injectors
Removing:
–  Remove intake manifold lower part.
Engine code BGU → Chapter.
Engine codes BSE, BSF, CCSA, CMXA → Chapter.
  WARNING
The fuel supply line is under pressure! Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid injuries and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully pulling hose off connection.
   
–  Pull off fuel line -2- and collect escaping fuel with a cloth.
  Note
Press in safety ring to release fuel line.
–  Pull connectors off all injectors.

–  Pull off retaining clip -arrows- and remove injector.
Installing:
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:
–  Renew O-rings at all opened connections. (To renew front O-ring on injector, plastic cap must under no circumstances be pulled off valve head.
–  Lightly moisten O-rings with clean engine oil.
–  Observe proper installation position of injectors.

–  Ensure that retaining clips are seated properly.
–  Position fuel rail with secured injector in intake manifold and press it in evenly.
–  Install lower part of intake manifold → Chapter.
–  Bleed fuel system → Chapter.
After replacing components of injection system, erase learnt values in engine control unit → vehicle diagnosis tester “Guided fault finding”.
