  Note
t  Secure all hose connections with hose clips which conform to production standard.
t  Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be free of oil and grease before assembly. The oil seal and sealing surface must only be oiled lightly for connector couplings → Chapter.
t  Charge air system must be free of leaks.
t  Renew self-locking nuts.
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362- or hose clip pliers -V.A.G 1921- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips.
t  Fill turbocharger with engine oil at oil supply line connection.
t  After installing turbocharger, run engine for about 1 minute at idling and do not rev up immediately, this ensures that the turbocharger is fully primed with oil
t  Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
