Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Ultrasonic cleaner -VAS 6418-
t  Mounting plate for injection modules -VAS 6418/1-
t  Cleaning fluid -VAS 6418/2-
Cleaning
–  Remove injectors → Chapter.
  Note
Comply with safety regulations and instructions for ultrasonic unit.
–  The ultrasonic unit must have been filled with cleaning fluid -VAS 6418/2-.
  Note
   
The ultrasonic unit must have been filled with cleaning agent up to upper edge of holes (see expanded view).
–  Insert the injectors-1- into the mounting plate for injection modules -VAS 6418/1- as far as the stop -2-.

–  Dip the injectors together with the mounting plate for injection modules -VAS 6418/1- into the cleaning fluid.
–  Set a temperature of 50 degrees with the rotary knob -4-.
–  Set the rotary knob -5- to a cleaning time of 30 minutes.
–  Switch the ultrasonic unit on with button -3-.
  Note
As soon as the cleaning temperature is 50 degrees, the set time will begin to elapse.
–  After cleaning, always replace the combustion chamber ring seal (Teflon seal) for each injector → Chapter.
–  Then reinstall the injectors → Chapter.
