Separate reversing camera housing from swivel motor > < Removing and installing swivel badge with reversing camera housing and swivel motor from rear lid
Removing and installing reversing camera housing with swivel motor out of swivel badge
Removing and installing reversing camera housing with swivel motor out of swivel badge
   
Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783-
Removing:
–  Remove swivel badge with reversing camera housing and swivel motor out of real lid → Chapter.
  W00-0990
–  Release and disconnect connector -5-.
–  Remove the for securing bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove reversing camera housing -2- together with swivel motor -3- out of swivel badge -4-.
Installing:
Install in the reverse order of removal. When doing this, note the following:
  Caution
t  Danger of leakage
t  Twisted or not properly positioned seals may result in danger of water ingress into the luggage compartment.
t  Check that installed seals are in good condition and in proper installation position.
–  Check seals between camera and swivel badge and ensure that these are not detached or twisted.

–  Clip in swivel motor wire before reinstalling it into wire securing clamp -1- behind camera housing.
–  Insert reversing camera housing -1- together with swivel motor -3- into swivel badge -4-.
  Caution
t  Swivel mechanism may become stuck.
t  The securing bolt in swivel motor, which is difficult to reach, -bottom right arrow-, can drop into reversing camera housing during positioning.
t  To position bolt, hold swivel badge so that swivel motor -3- is underneath.
–  Screw in the four securing bolts -arrows- and tighten to 2,5 Nm.
