Intake Manifold: Locations

Ignition System Component Overview

1. Air filter housing
2.  Nut 6 Nm
3. Bolt 10 Nm

Vacuum pressure connection
to intake manifold

5. Connector, 40-pin

Switch ignition off before disconnecting or connecting connector
disengage to pull off

6. Connector, 81-pin

Switch ignition off before disconnecting or connecting connector
disengage to pull off

7. Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) -J220-

Component location: in plenum chamber

8. 6-pin harness connector

Black for Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) and oxygen sensor heater -Z19-
At vehicle underside

9. Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) -G39-

50 Nm
With 6-pin connector
Component location: in catalyst, front
Grease only the thread with part "G 052 112 A3" hot bolt paste; grease must not get onto slot on sensor body
