The factory code number is:

CAUTION

Do not try to make a coded radio work unless you know the following:

radio is either factory coded

OR

^

coded with customer's personal code

You can only make six tries to recode a coded radio to make it work

It the radio is not properly coded after three tries, - disconnect and reconnect battery cable OR
-

remove and install radio fuse

You can now make three more tries to recode the radio

If you do not recode radio properly in these three tries, - radio is electronically locked-up and must be replaced

Making coded radios work

Conditions

power to radio has been interrupted

^

radio does not work

^

radio displays following when switched ON:

Work sequence

switch radio ON

-

push and hold AM/FM selector button down and then push and hold SCAN button until the display changes as shown below

the following two displays will appear one after the other

After blank display appears, - release AM/FM and SCAN buttons
