Condition

Insufficient pretension of brake pad springs may cause brake pads to rattle inside the calipers.

Production

Deletion of chamfer on the brake calipers:

as of 2/91 VIN 1G MW 448 523

Modified brake pad spring:

as of 7/91 VIN 1G NV 826 003

Service

The springs listed below should be used when replacing brake pads.

Note

In case of brake pad replacement, DO NOT use springs which come in the repair kit.
