Vehicle Electrical System Control Module

‹› The relay carrier is clipped to the vehicle electrical system control module underneath and can be removed.

‹› If the vehicle electrical system control module is being replaced, then always perform the procedure to read out the code stored in the module

coding vehicle electrical system control module. Refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System Control Module, Coding ] See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

‹› A LHD vehicle is shown in the following illustrations. Removing and installing the vehicle electrical system control module on RHD vehicles is

identical.

Removing:

-

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

Remove the relay carrier on the vehicle electrical system control module. Refer to => [ Relay Carrier on Vehicle Electrical System Control

Module.

Disconnect the connectors.

-

Press both locking mechanisms - arrows - and move the vehicle electrical system control module downward.

-

Pull the vehicle electrical system control module out of the bracket downward and opposite the drive direction.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Install the vehicle electrical system control module into the bracket and then push on it until it audibly engages.
