Seal, Two-Piece Right Flange Shaft Seal and Sleeve

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Drip tray (V.A.G 1306)

‹› Thrust piece (T10160)

‹› Alignment Fixture (3253/2)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Remove noise insulation.

-

Turn steering to right onto full lock stop.

-

Remove the drive axle heat shield from the engine, if applicable. 

-

Remove drive axle - 1 - from flange shaft.

-

Tie up drive axle as high as possible. Do not damage paint on drive axle when doing so.

-

Place container under transmission and engine.

-

Place appropriate receptacle underneath transmission.

-

Remove bolts for flange shaft, by screwing two bolts into the flange and counter-holding flange shaft using a pry bar.
