Radiator, Removing and Installing

Special tools

T10007 Refraktometer

^

V.A.G 1306 Drip tray

^

V.A.G 1331 Torque wrench 5 to 50 Nm (3.7 to 37 ft. lbs.), or equivalent

^

VAS 5024 tool for spring clamps or V.A.G 1921 pincers for spring clamps

Removing

-

Drain coolant.

-

Remove front bumper.

-

Disconnect coolant hoses from radiator.

-

Disconnect thermo-switch harness connectors.

-

Move lock carrier to service position.

-

Remove radiator mounting bolts and take out radiator with fans attached.
