Windshield cracks are seldom the result of stress due to body movement. This type of crack will appear on the inner layer of the windshield.

Cracks in the outer windshield lamination can be caused by the impact of stone/debris or windshield to body contact, which can be easily recognized
after exterior moldings are removed. Windshield cracks on the outer layer without evidence of body contact are not covered by warranty.

The windshield illustration indicates the most probable areas of windshield to body contact (arrows). In the event there is contact, photograph the area
and submit it with an EPOS report describing the location of the contact by using the windshield area numbers shown in the illustration.
