Remove right rear brake line from the front of rear axle to wheel cylinder on drum brakes, or to hose from caliper on disc brakes and discard
HINT:
Right rear wheel may be removed for easier brake line removal
Warning!
Brake fluid is poisonous
CAUTION!
Brake fluid must not come in contact with painted parts.

Install new right rear brake line (1HO 611 764 C for drum brakes or 357 611 764 B for disc brakes) and torque brake line fittings to 14 to 16 Nm
(10 to 12 ft. lb.)

Check for correct position of new brake line with VWM 047203 gauge and adjust, if necessary

Connect pressure bleeder US 1116, filled with VW brake fluid (B 000 700 A1), to the fluid reservoir
Note:
On non-ABS vehicles, the rear brake pressure regulator lever must be pressed and held during any rear brake bleeding process.

Connect hose from bleeder bottle to calipers or wheel cylinder and bleed brakes in the following sequence:
1. Right-rear caliper or wheel cylinder
2. Left-rear caliper or wheel cylinder
3. Right4ront caliper
4. Left-front caliper

Remove pressure bleeder from the vehicle, then remove vehicle from the hoist

Check for correct brake fluid level

Start engine and test brakes for correct operation
DISPOSAL
All removed parts and brake fluid must be discarded properly.
