POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION SYSTEM
The Positive Crankcase Ventilation system is a closed system. This means that oil vapors and unburned hydrocarbons do not enter the atmosphere.
Instead, the gases are routed to the intake manifold where they are ignited in the combustion process.
