Fuel Injector: Testing and Inspection
With VAG
CHECKING FUEL INJECTORS
REQUIREMENTS

Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor OK.
PROCEDURE

Check triggering of Fuel Injectors

Disconnect connector -1- from -2- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62).

Adjust VAG 1630 digital potentiometer (side A set to 15 Ohm) and connect to G62 connector using adapter leads from VW 1594.

Remove upper part of intake manifold.

Remove fuel rail (fuel lines and Fuel Injectors remain connected).

Install Fuel Injectors in VAG 1602 measuring device.

Disconnect connector from Ignition Coil (N152).
-
Operate Starter.

Fuel Injectors must spray with uniform pulsing.

Switch ignition off and check Fuel Injectors for leaks.

Not more-than 2 drops per minute.
NOTE: When installing injectors, make sure the O-rings are not damaged.
