Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments
Automatic Transmission
Proper throttle control and transmission operation depend on accurate adjustment of the throttle cable and transmission kickdown cable.
To adjust:

Auto Trans Kickdown Cable Adjustment
1.
Place the transmission gear selector in PARK and set the parking brake. Loosen the adjusting nut on the transmission's operating lever and
disconnect the kickdown cable from the lever.
2.
Loosen the locknuts that hold the throttle cable housing to the bracket on the cylinder head cover. Make certain that the cable moves freely and
that the throttle valve is fully closed.
