Radio/Stereo Noise Filter: Service and Repair

AM Frequency Filter R177, Removing And Installing 

Amplitude modulation (AM) frequency filter is installed in center of rear lid.

Function: Prevents antenna signals from shorting to Ground (GND)

Removing: 

CAUTION:

-

Switch off all electrical consumers.

-

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key. 

-

Remove rear lid trim.

-

Remove screws -arrows-.

-

Disconnect the electrical connection locks -A- and disconnect electrical connections.

-

Remove frequency filter.

Installing: 
Install in reverse order of removal.
