Remove oil return line - arrows -.

On vehicles with Oil Level Thermal Sensor G266, disconnect connector - 1 -.

-

Remove mounting bolts of transmission/oil pan - arrows -.

-

Loosen oil pan bolts on flywheel side using flex wrench 10 mm 3185 and remove using socket insert T10058.

Remove remaining bolts and remove oil pan. Loosen oil pan with light blows of a rubber headed hammer if necessary.

Remove sealant residue from cylinder block with a flat scraper.

-

Remove residual sealant on oil pan e.g. with a rotating plastic brush.

Note the expiration date of the sealing compound.

The oil pan must be installed and tightened immediately after application of silicon sealant.
