Disengage securing bracket -1- in -direction of arrow- and disconnect harness connector -2- from Headlamp Range Control Module J431.

Remove mounting bolt -arrow- and remove Headlamp Range Control Module J431 -1- from bracket -2-.

Installing: 
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Insert Headlamp Range Control Module J431 -3- with retaining clip -2- in bracket -1-.

Engage harness connector -1- by pressing securing bracket -2- in -direction of arrow-.

NOTE:  After installing a new Headlamp Range Control Module J431, it must be coded.

Connect Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051A

-

In Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051A, select operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".

Using the "Go To" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:
