Switch on ignition.

CAUTION:

Make sure that no persons are in the vehicle.

Do not damage seals when assembling or disassembling. 

-

Connect vehicle battery.

Components of Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS), removing (vehicles with electric seat adjustment) 

CAUTION:  Observe safety precautions when working on seat occupied recognition. 

NOTE: 

-

Seat cushion, mat for seat occupied recognition, control module and pressure sensor must only be replaced together. Components are
complementary and must not be separated!

-

Only disconnect wiring harnesses mentioned in the following description!

-

Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.

-

Remove front seat.

-

Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.

-

Remove front belt latch:
-

2 door

-

4 door

-

Remove right trim on seat.

-

Remove left power seat trim.

-

If present, remove seat drawer mount

-

Remove retainer and power seat bracket
