Vanity Lamp: Service and Repair

Illuminated Vanity Mirror Lamps

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim removal wedge VAS 3409

NOTE:
-

When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool (trim
removal wedge VAS 3409, screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removal and installation for both lamps is performed in the same way and is only described for one lamp.

Removing

-

Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

-

Carefully pry lamp out of roof trim using trim removal wedge VAS 3409 or a screwdriver.

-

Disconnect electrical connection - arrow -.

Bulb, replacing

-

Push contact plate - 1 - of lamp in direction of arrow and remove soffit - 2 - from socket.

-

Replace the bulb (12 V, 5 W).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
