Oil Pressure Sender: Testing and Inspection
SPECIAL TOOLS

Oil pressure tester tool No. VAG 1342, or equivalent.

LED Tester tool No. VAG 1527B, or equivalent.
^
Adaptor kit tool No. VW 1594, or equivalent.
TEST SEQUENCE
1. Remove 0.3 bar (4.35 psi) oil pressure switch -F22- (blue insulation) and screw into tester.
2. Screw tester into the cylinder head in place of the oil pressure switch.
3. Connect brown wire -3- of tester to ground.
4. Connect LED tester to battery positive and to 0.3 bar (4.35 psi) oil pressure switch -A- using jumper wires from adaptor kit.
5. LED tester must light up.
6. Start engine and slowly raise engine rpm until oil pressure reaches 0.15-0.35 bar (2.25-5.00).
7. LED tester must go out.
8. If not to specifications, replace oil pressure switch.
9. Connect LED tester to oil pressure switch -B-.
10. When oil pressure reaches: 0.75-1.05 bar (10.90-15.20 psi) LED tester must light up.
11. If not to specifications, replace oil pressure switch -F1-.
