marked by three depressions around the circumference of the exhaust pipe

At factory, exhaust pipe and rear muffler are installed as a single component. Replacement exhaust pipe and rear muffler are supplied
separately, with replacement double clamp for connecting joint.

Using e.g. V.A.G 1523 body repair saw, cut exhaust pipe at separating point at right angle See Fig. 3
