Fuel Cooler: Service and Repair

Fuel cooler, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench (5 ... 50 Nm) V.A.G. 1331

Removing 

Observe safety precautions.
Observe rules for cleanliness

Note:  The fuel cooler is located in the return line to the fuel tank. It is located on the vehicle underbody.

Remove cover - A -.

Separate fuel lines at fuel cooler.

Remove securing nuts - arrows

Installing 

Installation is performed in the reverse sequence of removal. In the process, note the following:
-

Tighten fuel cooler securing nuts to 20 Nm.
