Replace faulty injector
-
Erase DTC memory to return learned values to a neutral (default) position, Refer to Interrogating and erasing DTC memory

Perform installation of injectors in reverse order. Note the following:

Replace O-rings on all injectors and moisten then lightly with clean engine oil.

Insert injectors vertically and in the correct position into the fuel rail and secure with retaining clips.

Set fuel rail with secured injectors on intake manifold and press in evenly.

Test requirement

Fuel pressure must be OK, check, fuel pressure regulator and retaining pressure, checking. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Fuel Pressure Regulator and Residual Pressure, Checking
Test sequence
CAUTION: Fuel system is under pressure. Before opening system, place rags around the connection point. Then release pressure by carefully
loosening connection.

Remove upper part of intake manifold See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair
NOTE:
Seal the intake channels in lower part of intake manifold using a clean rag.
