NOTE:  If replacing Engine Control Module (ECM), connect Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 and perform the
Guided Function "Replace control module".

Removing

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove wiper arms and plenum chamber cover.

-

Remove plenum chamber bulkhead.

-

Saw into heads of shear bolts so that two parallel surfaces result - arrows -.

-

Remove bolts using locking pliers.

-

Insert a screwdriver - A - between protective housing and retaining plate - arrow -

-

Pry protective housing upward using screwdriver - A - and pull it off sideways from retaining plate - arrow -.
