Washers/Wipers - Washer Lamp ON, Reservoir is Full

Condition

Windshield Washer, Light ON

Windshield washer light is ON and washer reservoir is full.

92 06 05 Sept. 29, 2006 2002493 Supersedes T.B. Group 92 number 99-01 due to inclusion into ElsaWeb.

Technical Background

May be caused by incorrect concentration of washer solution in the washer reservoir.

Production Solution

Windshield washer concentration corrected beginning VIN: 3VWSA29M2XM044111.

Service

-

If necessary, remove washer solution (leaving the reservoir approximately 50% full).

Fill washer reservoir with washer solution, Part No. ZVW177 901 or other commercially available fluid.

NOTE:  

Solution must contain 1/2 liter of plain tap water.

Recheck light.

If light is OFF

-

No additional work is necessary.

If light is still ON:

-

Check wiring, light and washer reservoir sensor and repair as necessary.
