Remove shelf on driver's side:
-
Pull connector off clutch pedal switch.
-
Connect multimeter to measure resistance between contacts of connector.
Specification: approx. 0 Ohm
-
Depress clutch pedal.
Specification: infinity Ohm (no continuity)
If the specification is not attained:
-
Replace clutch pedal switch.
NOTE: Observe installation position of clutch pedal switch in bearing bracket upper assembly hole.

Check DTC Memory, if necessary, repair any malfunctions and then Erase DTC Memory, Checking and Erasing DTC Memory. Refer to
"Displaying and Reading Trouble Codes/With Manufacture Scan Tool/Check DTC Memory (Function 02)" See: Computers and Control

Read readiness code. If DTC memory has been erased or engine control module was disconnected from permanent positive, readiness code must

Engine code AWP, Refer to "Monitors, Trips and/or Drive Cycle/Generating Readiness Code" See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and

If the specification is obtained:

Connect multimeter using aux. cables from V.A.G 1594 to measure voltage between contact 2 and Ground.

Switch ignition on.
Specification: At least 11.5 V
If the specification is not attained:
