Alarm Horn: Service and Repair

Alarm Horn

The Alarm Horn (H12) is located at the  right on the A-pillar in the fender.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Drill (VAS 5134)

‹› Drill bit dia. 6 mm

‹› Pop rivet pliers (VAS 5072)

‹› To remove the Alarm Horn (H12), the anti-theft  alarm system must be deactivated. Refer to => [ Anti-Theft Alarm System,

Activating/Deactivating ] See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning. 

CAUTION!
‹› Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

‹› Remove ignition key.

Removing

-

Remove the right front wheel housing liner. 

-

Using  (VAS 5134) and a spiral bore dia. 6 mm,  drill out both pop rivets - arrows -.

-

Remove Alarm Horn - 1 - in - direction of  arrow - from body cutout.
