Steering Wheel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench 40-200 Nm (VAG 1332)

Removing

-

Remove the driver's side airbag unit.

-

Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - and -  2 - for the spiral spring.

-

Turn the steering wheel to the center position (wheels in straight ahead position)

-

Remove the bolt - 3 - and pull the steering wheel off the steering column.

Installing

-

Place the steering wheel on the steering column.

-

Center markings for the steering wheel and steering column -  arrows - must align.
