CAUTION:  Do not use other grease under any circumstances.

Place cover on as marked during removal.

-

Screw in new bolts and tighten them to tightening torque.

-

Remove excess grease on cover of steering pinion and on steering pinion.

Rest of installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Install steering gear.

-

Align vehicle.

-

Perform basic setting for Steering Angle Sensor G85 via Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing Info. System VAS 5051, "Guided Fault Finding".

-

Then perform basic setting of steering system via Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing Info. System VAS 5051 "Guided Fault Finding".

Removing:

Remove Steering Angle Sensor G85 - 1 - toward rear from steering column switches - arrow - .

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal.
