Remove the interior rearview mirror with rain sensor. Refer to --> [ Interior Rearview Mirror with Rain Sensor ] See: Mirrors/Service and
Repair/Interior Rearview Mirror/Interior Rearview Mirror. 

All vehicles

-

Remove the two bolts - 4 - (2 Nm).

-

Remove bolts - 1 - (2 Nm) at left and right side on headliner.

CAUTION!
Perform the following work steps especially carefully in order to prevent damage to headliner.

-

Lower headliner slightly and (depending on vehicle equipment) disconnect wiring harnesses from headliner.

-

Move both the passenger's and driver's seat backrests as far back as possible.

-

Remove headliner from vehicle through front passenger door.
